Who we are

DAP Plastering & Building Services is the controller of the personal information covered by this notice. We provide plastering and building services in Llanelli and the surrounding area. For privacy questions or requests, email dec@dapbuild.co.uk or call 07922 064168.

What we collect

The quote form asks for your name, phone number, the service you are interested in and a description of the work. You may also give us your email address, postcode or area and up to three project photographs. If you call, email or message us, we receive the contact details and information you include.

Our website providers may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and security-check information when they deliver the site or protect the form from abuse. We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use enquiry information to understand the work, reply, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, arrange and carry out the job. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing a contract with you.

We use records needed for invoices, tax and other legal duties because we have a legal obligation to do so. We use proportionate website security, administration and general correspondence records for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business. We do not sell or rent your details, use automated decision-making or send marketing unless you have specifically asked for it.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not become a job, we normally keep the enquiry and any attached photographs for up to 12 months after the last contact, then delete them unless there is a legal reason to keep them longer.

If you become a customer, quotations, job correspondence, invoices, payment records and other information needed for the work or our legal records are generally kept for up to six years after the relevant job or accounting period. Provider security logs are retained only for the periods needed to operate and protect their services.

Photos you send us

Photos attached to a quote request are used to understand the job. The website does not save them in a public gallery or website account; they are attached to the enquiry email sent to DAP. We will not publish a photograph of your property on this website, Sanity, social media or elsewhere without asking you first.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and processes quote-form requests. Resend sends each enquiry to DAP's Google Workspace business mailbox. Sanity hosts approved gallery and review content, while Google provides fonts and business email services. These suppliers process only the information needed to provide their services.

We may share relevant information with professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or another trade involved in an accepted job where access or coordination is necessary. We do not share enquiry details with unrelated businesses for their marketing.

Information processed outside the UK

Some technology suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the supplier's appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections, together with any additional measures required by data-protection law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights are not absolute, and legal record-keeping duties can sometimes mean information must be retained.
